For both Chander and Ravi, the most priceless moments that come to mind are the carefree days spent in the ancestral home in their village and hometowns. These were not just homes. They were living, breathing farms. Growing a myriad number of fruits and flowers. And then there were the welcoming abodes of all the relatives and the neighbours. Some afternoons were spent playing cricket and watching WWE (called WWF back in the days) on imported VCR sets. And suddenly, the air would be punctured by the shrill sound of a train on a long journey and all of us kids would run to the backyard to see the train speed past us, even as we waved to those lucky passengers who must be going somewhere nice. With time, these native towns and those relatives have faded away.
This is where the story of NAMAHA begins. Chander and Ravi wanted to create holiday and vacation spaces that feel like our own. Not another fancy resort with a laundry list of do’s and don'ts.
NAMAHA is committed to bridge the gaps on both the individual level (connect with family) and on the sustainable level (connect with nature). We intend to build on this vision, beginning with a group of like-minded people who devote time and effort in making this a reality.
Going forward, NAMAHA will build on its mission of an eco-positive community coming together to create micro forests, organic produce through collective farming, where everybody wins - the individual, the planet and the community as a whole.
