GOT A QUESTION?
We have the Answers
  • What is a collective?

a collective is a group of individuals coming together to co-own and develop the land in a sustainable, eco-positive manner. The advantage of our model lies in the fact that you co-own the entire landscape, which makes it available for sustainable farming methods and gives you access to all parts of the estate making it a truly delightful, vast expanse. In a collective, only the housing cluster is demarcated for individual ownership.

  • Can I be part of the collective without owning a piece of land?

We have options for all requirements. With our options, you can own a share of the land or just subscribe to the collective, under the club model which will allow you to be a guest at the collective for limited periods of stay every year

  • How is the ownership of the produce divided in collective farming?

All the produce from the collective will be equally shared between the owners of the collective. The product will be marketed and the proceeds will be shared with the collective owners.

  • Will I own a house or only the land?

You have an option to own land (minimum unit of 25 cents / Quarter acre) which comes with a house OR you can subscribe to the collective without owning any land or house in the collective. The subscription model allows you free stay in the collective for 15 days every year.

  • Can I build my house on the land I own?

To maintain the fragile ecological balance, we have tied up with a permaculture specialist and an architect to ensure that the construction activities cause the least damage to the ecosystem. We will construct the house for you. All you have to do is pack your bags and come over to stay when you wish!

  • Does NAMAHA have government permissions/ clearances?

Yes. All requisite clearances and approvals are in place.

  • Will you be adding more locations other than Ooty?

Yes. The Namaha collective will expand to include other locations. Currently, the next collective is planned in the hills of Uttarakhand.
